Key Responsibilities
1. Operation and Support Management
o. Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, verifying completion of scheduled jobs.
o. Monitors systems through multiple monitoring tools to proactively address system issues before they have the potential to cause outages
o. Perform daily backup operations, ensuring all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up to the appropriate media, recovery tapes or disks are created, and media is recycled and sent off site as necessary.
o. Create, change and delete application account and data as per request as necessary
o. Perform generation of reports and data query on regular bases and adhoc as per request as necessary
o. Perform education to users in order that the application users have sufficient knowledge to operate the system
o. Formulate and communicate the customer’s requirement to the development team in order to be able to provide the required solution effectively and efficiently.
2. Incident Management
o. Primarily responsible for level 1 Technical Support, Systems Management, Administration and Project Support.
o. Assist and respond promptly to incident, investigate & provide temporary &/or permanent resolution of incidents escalate to internal team, partners and customer
Required Skills & Experience
1. Required Skills and Attributes
o. Diploma / Degree in Computer Science / Information Technology / Engineering or equivalent experience
o. Possess one or more of the following skills :
-. Redhat Enterprise Linux Administration
-. Oracle Database Administration
-. L4 Switch Management
-. Firewall Management
o. Must be a good team player and willing to take ownership
o. Ability to work with minimal supervision and demanding environment
o. Possess excellent interpersonal skills, independent and result oriented
2. Required Experience
o. Possess a minimum of 2 years in operation and maintenance support of OSS/BSS for telco operators
o. Good knowledge with experience in RedHat Enterprise Linux, Oracle Database, etc.
o. Good knowledge of ITIL service management methodology.
o. Good knowledge of Network communication protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP, SSL/TLS, RPC, SSH, etc.) including the ability to analyze the network issues.
